Open Building Materials Laboratory!!

先日、8月4日と5日にかけてオープンキャンパスが行われました。

本研究室ではコンクリートと遊ぼうと題しまして、長谷川先生の説明に始まり、あらかじめ練っておいた生コンとのふれあい(？)から圧縮強度試験、円盤状にカットした硬化コンクリートの研磨体験、最後に長谷川先生によるまとめからの磨いたコンクリートの贈呈(笑)を行いました。

実験室に入ってきてコンクリートを見て「えっ！＠；：＠；＊＋＠！！！？」とか驚いてくれたり、先生の説明に「すげー！！！＠；；ｌｐL+L@P+`p!!?」などととても良い反応をしてくれたりと、小学生のみんなの反応がすごい新鮮でなんだか複雑な気分になりました。ちなみに中高生がダメとか言っているわけではありません(笑)

We opened a event to be able to experience some part of our laboratory's daily experimental works on August 4th and 5th.

That title of the event was "Let's play with concrete!!!" Speaking about contents of this event, firstly,  Mr.Hasegawa give a explanation, and participants experience ready-mixed concrete by touching, grasping or mixing by their hand and so on. And other than that, some works were done like experiencing a compression test, polishing hardened concrete which had been cut as a circle shape and so on.

I had a intricate feeling because of schoolchildren's  very fresh reaction against all our works. That is what I forgot backward...lol
